This video is 5 years? old. What happened to the devices they were going to manufacture?

@BennFlicks Me too! ...
@BennFlicks Me too! After building my own solar panel kit that ive purchased online at the site: GreenEnergyNow.info Ive saved a lot of money. In? fact my lowest electric bill was at $0.. Wouldnt believe me? Try it yourself. Im happy that could help some one here..:))

This device has got ...
This device has got an excellent design..... Commercial Solar panels are expensive! It takes 15 years to pay you back You can short this time to? 1-2 years... Build your own Solar Panels... There is a website that explains it all.... Go to Google and search for... "Top DIY Solar Panels" Click the first result (Skip the Advertisement)

I thought a Fresnel ...
I thought a Fresnel lense was unattainable but I never thought about a projection TV? screen. This will reopen my search. Thanks for the tip.

My uncle is working ...
My uncle is working at a company called Nuvo Sun. They are trying to create a house shingle that? will act like a solar panel.

@chop98 This is ...
@chop98 This is only the start. I plan to switch to just my net-book, and shut my modem off while not in use soon. I am also thinking about lowering the? water heater and maybe even disconnecting the fridge. I am even thinking about being homeless, and traveling on my bike. :-) nomad any one!

@randomizerman ...
@randomizerman That's what I like to hear. :) We don't have to have their plush offerings so much to live a good life. Sometimes the hassle is far less? without all the latest gizmos and gadgets. Glad to hear your power bill is going down. :)

@chop98 To your car ...
@chop98 To your car insurance company, ya I hate forced car insurance laws we have in the USA. I now have converted to using an electric and pedal bike, I charge it at work and at home. I save 130 dollar per mouth on insurance. Then I got a kilowatt to track down what uses power. Most of electronics burn power while they are? off so I unplug them now. My microwave uses 2W constantly. After my sister moved out I have cut back on AC, I have got my electric bill down to $65 from $150.

@sailcats77 My cost ...
@sailcats77 My cost is 35 dollars in the winter and 100 for 3 mos in the summer with the AC going. I'm working on getting a solar water heater set outside to preheat the water going into my tank. I do know that a member of my family has had great success with running solar panels (only 60 watts) with? a grid tie inverter for knocking down the power bill. Harbor Freight offers this 60 watt system. Add that grid tie inverter which is cheap also and you're well on your way. Go LED and not CF.

@sailcats77 I ...
@sailcats77 I applaud your efforts. Although I do live alone, I still live at? the standard in which I set. I have roughly 1000 sq ft that I heat and cool. I actually cool this space with box fans and one 25,000 BTU air conditioner. I set my hot water at 160 degrees. I burn LED lights in track lighting in the main room where I spend the most time. The other lights I burn run nothing over 60 watts. I heat with a wood stove and keep it comfy in the winter.

@chop98 30kwh/day ...
@chop98 30kwh/day isn't all that much. At today's ~$0.15/kwh, that's only about a $135 power bill for the month. I'm trying my best to get power consumption that low. Even? with no heat/ac on, our house still consumes ~35kwh/day, and that's with low water heater setting, 3 insulation blankets on it, all cf bulbs, etc, and it's smaller than 2000 sq ft.

@chop98 That wasn't ...
@chop98 That wasn't my point, and I was just re-using what the guy said in the video. ?

@HabaneroTck What ...
@HabaneroTck What size house are you in? that draws 30kWh/day, man? That's gotta be a hypocritical Al Gore size mansion you're running. Learn to turn off a light and turn the hot water down a few degrees. You'll save a ton of money so you can give it to your car insurance people. ;)

a house draws 30kWh ...
a house draws 30kWh/day...so if I take units, that's W * s / s so Watts. So a house draws 30kW, no indication of duration here. Appart? from this tiny but very important point, it's a nice installation.

@MrAppleseed88 if ...
@MrAppleseed88 if you have an aquaponics farm or fountains with constant running water this might be a solution.? could work for the washing machine, dishwasher, water heater, and all other pipes as well

@MrAppleseed88 I've ...
@MrAppleseed88 I've though about? putting miniature hydro-electric turbines on all my pipings so that any running water will also contribute to charging the batteries.

These seems like a ...
These seems like a much more practical and promising way to do solar energy instead of photo-voltaics.?

So what kind of ...
So what kind of steam engine would? You use in this system to drive the generator,and where could You get one? This is a big problem with solar,and alternative energy in general, the real expense of the actual gear,as well as maintaining it never seems to be mentioned. I'd love to set a place up with just what You're showing, but lines on paper aren't really helping. Show a working prototype and and factor in costs of production,give us something to work with here.

Dude, with all do ...
Dude, with all do respect but that idea is nothing new , it? has been around for like 20 years now...the problem is the expander that you will get to use (generator) so far no one has managed to come up with something efficient enough to give 6KW and affordable , so ya i think your not really offering anything new here.

I hope you have ...
I hope you have contacted? someone to market this idea!

Of? course one as ...
Of? course one as to live in a country where one gets a lot of sun. Living in sunny countries is going to be essential very soon.

@nexus1g G'day. ...
@nexus1g G'day... Um, I didn't know that. Been more worried the PV Manufacturer'd void the Warranty, for non-standard use of product... But, the ideaof a Patent is to prevent people from doing a thing. I want all the Sheeple to Retrofit with DIY SunFoils. I don't have temperament to pretend 2B a businessman, but I'm great as a? Mad Scientist. I've done SunFoils OpenSource, so it sure ain't patentable NOW ! Pure Science, free from Sales pressures !

@WarblesOnALot Did ...
@WarblesOnALot Did you know that modifications to existing? products is patentable?

6KW, wow... that ...
6KW, wow... that can really? power my entire home.

@morpheus6131 ...
@morpheus6131 Furthermore, this past couple of years the concurrent experiment is to see how long? humans take to adopt a good idea, offered free, because it works. So far it's 3 weeks for a Kangaroo to sit under a SunFoil in the rain, & 6 months for my son to allow one on his vehicle. And he's an Auto Electrician ! A friend watched 22 months before making & fitting the 4th prototype... #s 2, 3, & 4 are all in use, & working well. Search 'solar thermal ramjet' to see where NASA ranks..!

@morpheus6131 One ...
@morpheus6131 One leaps at the conclusion your Q? may be 2 me (?)... Answer is, no I'm not making the SunFoils or selling them. I have one, my son has one, & my daughter rides a pushbike. Theres nothing? patentable, I just recombined known technology to make the vehicle more fuel-efficient. If you want one, watch my videos & make your own. Set up a factory if you like. I'm a Pensioner. Just wanted to save fuel & money & emissions. Have fun. Enjoy !

are you selling ...
are you selling these? solar system

@Spaceman99 ...
@Spaceman99 Apologies for not including your account? name on previous port. I'm new to this game. I've posted a swag of vid's about my project. The latest being "SunFoil Thermodynamics, Aerodynamics, & the Solar-Thermal Ramjet-Effect. ". Interstersed with stuff shot on the Endangered Species Sanctuary. My aim is to share a good idea, because it works. Your comments most welcome. Thanks. Ciao.

Well done. ...
Well done. Excellent re-use of a dead TV lens... A house "needing" 30 Kw-Hr/Day is a tad greedy , I live on 0.2 to 0.5 Kw/Hr daily. But I'm a Hillbilly , &? quite frugal... I taught my car to use 33% less fuel by fitting a streamlined P.V. & regulator , to unload the Battery from the Crankshaft... Check the "SunFoil Short-talk (Update)" clip , among My Movies. Includes the CSIRO evaluation (Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organisation - Australian). Ciao...
